Groam House Lecture

It’s just 2 weeks until our next lecture on the 29th July :-

The Archaeology of Fortriu – recent discoveries in Easter Ross by Candy Hatherley of the University of Aberdeen.

Candy is part of the University’s ‘Northern Picts’ project and has been conducting excavations on the Tarbat peninsula in recent years.  We are hoping that she will be able to give us news from this year’s digs as well as an account of the overall results to date.  Although the study area does not include the Black Isle I hope she will comment on what she thinks its place may have been within Fortriu.

As is now usual the talk will take place at the Seaforth Lodge, Station Square, Fortrose at 7.30pm and there will be tea and coffee afterwards.
