More ARCH talks

Next week sees the start of the the new season of ARCH courses and lectures.

On Monday 30 January ARCH project officer, Cathy MacIver, will be giving a lecture on Culbin Sands from prehistory to present. This will be in the Dingwall Community Centre at 7.30pm (doors open at 7.00pm)

Cathy will be busy on Tuesday 31 January too - as this is when the next Pathways into the Past course begins. The class will meet in Strathpeffer Community Centre at 6.30pm. You can find out more about earlier pathways courses on the ARCH website www.archhighland.org.uk

Susan Kruse is also delivering a course - this one for the WEA. It begins on 3 February for 4 weeks (excluding 17th Feb). The subject is local archaeology and will use memories, photographs and maps to explore the heritage remains around Alness - and to contribute to the Highland Council’s heritage database.
The class is from 10:00 – 12:00 noon and meets in Alness Heritage Centre (High Street, Cost:  £2.00 per session
